Ragtex and second hand clothes sale

A big thank you to everyone who donated items for the Clothing / Book Sale and Ragtex Collection last week.  The sale was a big success as many more members of the community supported it than in previous years, and we raised £337.88 on the day - more than double the figure of £145 last year. 

We should hear from Ragtex around Christmas regarding their donation.  However, I am expecting it to be in excess of last year’s figure of £384. 

I would particularly like to thank everyone, including all the Scouts, who helped with the sorting and setting up on Friday evening which was huge job as we had so much donated, and to thank those people who helped on the day. 

We had several  comments from members of the community about the “polite and helpful” conduct of the young people who were there on Saturday, and generally people left the Sale very pleased with their purchases.

As ever, the money raised will go towards the on-going project of refurbishing the Scout Hall, and continuing to provide activities for all the young people in the Group.
